Magnitude-6.6 earthquake strikes off Panama coast

WASHINGTON, United States—A strong, magnitude-6.6 earthquake struck off the Pacific coast of Panama late Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The quake hit at 11:07 p.m. and its epicenter was in the Pacific Ocean about 245 kilometers south of the Panama city of Punta de Burica, the USGS said.
