MANILA, Philippines—A motorist was killed while his three female passengers were wounded Tuesday afternoon when a Philippine National Railways (PNR) train crashed into their sports utility vehicle in Manila.
Initial reports from the Manila Police District (MPD) revealed that a white Toyota Revo (XLW-711) was crossing the railroad tracks at the corner of Tayuman and Dagupan Streets in Tondo, at around 3:10 p.m., Tuesday, when it collided with the locomotive.
Reports said that the driver of the vehicle was instantly killed while his companions were rushed to the nearest hospital.
