‘Seniang’ weakens further, traverses Sulu Sea–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines–Tropical Depression “Seniang” (international name: Jangmi) has weakened further as it now moves toward the Sulu Sea, away from any Philippine landmass, the weather bureau said.

In its 4:30 p.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said “Seniang” now packs maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and at 4 p.m. was last spotted 290 kilometers south southwest of Cuyo Island, Palawan.

Pagasa added that “Seniang” tracks a west southwest path at a pace of 15 kph.

Southern Palawan has been placed under public storm warning signal no. 1.
