‘Beware of swindlers’

CEBU City Police Director Ramon Melvin Buenafe warned the public to beware of swindlers after last Sunday’s arrest of four men who sold lubricants and other industrial products to businessman Mario Quiatan, 40, in a restaurant near Plaza Independencia.

Quaitan said he sold his house and lot and a Toyota Fortuner vehicle to raise P1 million to pay in part for products worth P2.5 million.

Police arrested Mario Gamayan from Quiot, Cebu City, Herman Gaganti from Abellanosa Street, Cebu City, Samuel Tulo from Roxas City and Luisito Manuyag from Caloocan City who sold goods with brand names “Emperor” and “Oddyssey.”/correspondent rhea ruth v. rossell
