35 dead, 8 missing from ‘Seniang’–NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines–A total of 35 people were confirmed dead from the onslaught of tropical storm “Seniang,” the  National Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported Wednesday morning.

At least 26 people from Central and Eastern Visayas were hurt, eight people from northeastern Mindanao were missing and one mountaineer was trapped in Northern Mindanao, the NDRRMC said.

In its 6 a.m. report, NDRRMC said 27, 397 families were affected in Western and Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, the Davao and Caraga regions.

Meanwhile, 40 houses were destroyed and 77 suffered damage.
