MANILA, Philippines—Zamboanga police seized vehicles, firearms and over P1 million in cash in an Internal Security Operation (ISO) conducted after Christmas in a village after being informed of illegal drug activities in the area.
Based on the progress report released by the police Sunday, members of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company (ZCPSC) led by Superintendent Ariel Tolorio Huesca, together with the Ayala Police Station 9 recovered a Nissan Navarra SUV (LGU-926), Toyota Hi-Ace Van (TIO-993), hand grenade, illegal drugs paraphernalia, several plastic sachets containing shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), six rounds of live ammunition each for caliber.45 and 9mm and cash worth P1.702 million.
The operation was conducted in different areas of Barangay Recodo in Zamboanga City.
Arrested were identified as Larsam Salih, 31; Agnan Garil, 41, Samir Alawi, 23 and Asani Saylama, 47.
The police are already preparing the filing of criminal charges in court.
