Around 3,599 passengers stranded in ports

Manila, Philippines—More than 3,000 passengers have been stranded due to Typhoon Pedring Tuesday, according to the latest data from the Philippine Coast Guard.

PCG spokesman Lieutenant Commander Algier Ricafrente said a total of 3,599 persons, 25 motorized bancas and 12 motorized bancas were stranded in various ports.

He said the bulk of stranded travelers were in Matnog Seaport in Sorsogon province, Tabaco City port in Albay province and Calapan in Oriental Mindoro.
