LPA to continue to bring rains in parts of Visayas, Mindanao – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines- A low pressure area (LPA) near Surigao del Sur will continue to bring rains in parts of Visayas and Mindanao, the weather bureau said before noon Saturday.

“This weather system is expected to bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao Region within 24 hours,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Light to moderate rains are also affecting Zamboanga del Sur, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Compostela Valley, Davao City, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur,  Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, North Cotabato, Basilan, and Maguindanao,

Rains in these areas may persist for two to three hours, Pagasa said in its rainfall advisory at 10:45a.m.
