Pagasa: Rain showers, thunderstorms continue Friday
MANILA, Philippines – Light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms will persist in the country this Friday as a low pressure area inches closer to the Philippines, the state weather bureau said Thursday.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) in its 5 p.m. bulletin said the tail-end of a cold front is affecting Eastern Visayas while the northeast monsoon is affecting northern and Central Luzon.
Pagasa said Eastern and Central Visayas, Caraga, Davao region and Northern Mindanao would experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms while Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Ilocos and Central Luzon would have cloudy skies with light rain.
As of 4 p.m., the low pressure area spotted outside the country is now 1,420 kilometers east of Mindanao.
