Driver dies plying route

A jeepney driver plying his route from Dagat-Dagatan to Divisoria, Manila, was shot in the head by a still unidentified man on Monday evening.

Eleuterio Zar-ceno, 50, was shot in the back of the head by a man who was seated behind him as he was driving his jeep at 6:45 p.m. on Monday near the corner of N. Zamora and J. Nolasco Streets in Tondo .

The police said the victim’s daughter, Shaina, who was seated beside the victim and collecting fares from passengers, saw the gunman fire at her father. She failed to identify him because he quickly alighted from the vehicle and escaped on foot.
