Man, teen son stabbed by taxi robber

A teenager and his father were stabbed by a still unidentified man who tried to rob them inside a taxi in Manila Tuesday. Agustin Ramos, 37, and his 13-year-old son Nathaniel were in a Diumong Taxi (WQT-963) which was stuck in traffic shortly past Tuesday midnight when a man suddenly opened the passenger door and grabbed Nathaniel’s cell phone. As the two grappled for the phone, it fell to the floor, angering the suspect who stabbed the teenager in the hand. Agustin, however, shielded his son. The pair were able to escape from the suspect when traffic eased, allowing the taxi driver, Victor Bravo, to drive away. Bravo immediately rushed the victims to the hospital where they received treatment. According to a report by Chief Insp. Dennies Gimena, Pandacan Station deputy station commander, the victims described the robber as around 5’2” to 5’4” tall, between 20 and 25 years old, of medium build and with fair complexion.
