MANILA, Philippines – Employees of Philippine Airlines (PAL) vowed that no flights would take off today, Tuesday, until management abandoned its plan to outsource 2,600 jobs.
PAL Employees’ Association (Palea) vice-president Alnem Pretencio said union members were now conducting a “sit down,” which means that while they have reported for work, they were not working.
“We will not give up until PAL stops its outsourcing and spin-off,” the official said in an interview.
