MANILA, Philippines – The House of Representatives on Wednesday adopted the Senate version of the proposed P22.4-billion 2014 supplemental budget.
This means the supplemental budget bill is ratified, and will no longer need to undergo the bicameral version between the two chambers of Congress to consolidate their own versions. It will go directly to the President for approval.
The chamber then adjourned its regular session for the Christmas break. It will resume on January 19.
In his message, Speaker Feliciano Belmonte said the chamber is able to process 1,686 measures, of which 20 were enacted into law and 350 approved on third and final reading.
