No work in Senate, House due to ‘Pedring’

MANILA, Philippines — All legislative activities in the Senate and House of Representatives, including in the plenary, were cancelled Tuesday due to typhoon “Pedring”.

Senate President Juan Ponce-Enrile’s directive was relayed to employees and reporters early morning of the same day.

“Senate President Enrile declared ‘no work’ today due to typhoon Pedring,” said a text message from the Office of the Senate Secretary.

“Plenary session, committee meetings, other scheduled activities in the Senate are canceled,” it added.
