Did you know: Severino Montano death anniversary

Today, Dec. 12, is the 34th death anniversary of National Artist for Theater Severino Montano. Born on Jan. 3, 1915, he was a playwright, director, actor and theater organizer. Montano received the Patnubay ng Kalinangan Award from the City of Manila in 1968 and the Presidential Award for Merit in Drama and Theater in 1961. He was conferred the title of National Artist posthumously in 2001.–Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
