Cebu under state of calamity

MANILA, Philippines–Following the devastation of Typhoon “Ruby,” Cebu has declared a state of calamity.

The Cebu provincial government announced over social media that the provincial board had declared the entire province under a state of calamity.

“The ‪#‎Cebu Provincial Board today declared the entire Cebu province under State of Calamity following the devastation caused by the Typhoon Ruby,” its public information office said on Monday.

The declaration of state of calamity will allow the province to receive additional allocation from the government’s calamity funds.
