Typhoon cuts power in Sorsogon

MATNOG, Sorsogon–A province-wide blackout hit Sorsogon as Typhoon Ruby (Hagupit) inches closer to the province, the Provincial Risk Reduction and Management Council (PPDRRMC) said Sunday.
The PDRRMC said no casualties have been reported yet.
It added that despite the effects of Ruby, communication lines remained working.
In Matnog town, heavy rains and howling winds on Sunday morning continued to pummel the coastal town.
In its latest weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical and Services Administration (Pagasa) has raised public storm signal number 3 in the entire province of Sorsogon.
