Did you know: F. Sionil Jose

National Artist for Literature F. Sionil Jose was born on Dec. 3, 1924. A multiawarded fictionist, his works have been translated into several languages, including Russian, Latvian, Ukrainian, Dutch and Bahasa Indonesia. Among his many awards are the CCP Centennial Honors for the Arts in 1999, the Outstanding Fulbrighters Award for Literature in 1988 and the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Journalism, Literature and Creative Communication Arts in 1980.
