2 teenagers killed in Aklan town shooting
ILOILO CITY–Two teenaged girls died and six other persons were wounded in a shooting incident Monday evening on the eve of the town fiesta in Libacao, Aklan.
Insp. Jerick Vargas, Libacao police chief, identified the fatalities as Antonina Ricablanca, 16, and Saraki Katimpo, 14, who died from gunshot wounds in the head believed to be from a homemade 12-gauge shotgun.
The wounded were hit in various parts of the body and brought to the provincial hospital in the capital town of Kalibo, about 32 km from Libacao.
Police are hunting for suspect Jonathan Felix who was identified by one of the wounded.
All except one of the victims were believed to have been hit by stray bullets while they were at a fair at the town proper.
“We believe one of the wounded was involved in an altercation with the suspect leading to the shooting,” Vargas told the INQUIRER.
