MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Public Works and Highways’ office in the National Capital Region will conduct road reblocking activities from 10 p.m. Friday (Nov. 21) to 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 24) on the following major thoroughfares in Quezon City:
o Fairview Avenue from Camaro Street to Peacock Street (third lane, southbound)
o Mindanao Avenue from St. Charbel Street to Tandang Sora Avenue (second lane, southbound)
o Commonwealth Avenue from Bicol Street to pedestrian overpass on Batasan Road (second lane, southbound)
o Araneta Avenue from Quezon Avenue to Maria Clara Street (third lane, northbound)
o Carlos P. Garcia Avenue from University Avenue to Maginhawa Street (third lane, northbound)
o Quirino Highway from Camachine Street to Teachers’ Bliss (first lane, northbound)
o Batasan Road from Civil Service Commission to Filinvest II (second lane, eastbount)
o Congressional Avenue from Sinagtala Street to Mindanao Avenue (second lane, eastbound)
o Congressional Avenue Extension from Salinghali Street to Luzon Avenue (second lane, eastbound).
In a related development, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced that road works would not be allowed three weeks before Christmas “in anticipation of a traffic buildup” as people flock to malls and other shopping centers in the metropolis.
