MANILA, Philippines–Cold breeze is set to blow over the northern parts of the Philippines as the northeast monsoon affects these areas, the weather bureau said Wednesday.

In its weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the northeast monsoon, which brings cold and dry air, is affecting the extreme northern parts of the country.

Cool air will not hover over the rest of the country, though, as the easterlies will brin

g warm and moist air over the eastern section of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Pagasa added that Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos Region would experience cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms mostly over the eastern section.
