Operating units of the Joint Task Group-Sulu recovered cooking utensils and solar panels left behind by fleeing ASG bandits under Radullan Sahiron following their deadly encounter at Bud Bunga, Upper Sinumaan in Patikul Town, Sulu last Friday (November 14) that left 10 ASG bandits dead while 18 others were wounded.
MANILA, Philippines – A day after the military’s biggest clash with the Abu Sayyaf since their all-out law enforcement operations began last month in Sulu, some belongings by the bandits were recovered on Saturday by troops.
Cooking utensils and solar panels left behind by the Abu Sayyaf after their encounter last Friday in Bud Bunga in Upper Sinumaan in Patikul were recovered by the military, a photo release by the military showed.
“Ordinary solar panel ito pang charge ng cellphones sa bundok at ang malaking panels pang ilaw,” Joint Task Group Sulu Commander Colonel Allan Arrojado said.
The firefight was the biggest since the military launched its all-out law enforcement operations last month after the Abu Sayyaf released two of their German captives.
On Friday, five Army Scout Rangers were killed and 26 were wounded in clashes against about 300 members of the Abu Sayyaf.
The military claimed that 10 members of the Abu Sayyaf were killed and 18 others were wounded.
