Tail-end of cold front may bring rains over Northern Luzon

MANILA, Philippines – Light to moderate rains are seen in Northern Luzon on Monday due to a tail-end of a cold front affecting the area, the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan group of islands will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

The easterlies, or warms winds from the east, is affecting the eastern section of the country.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly over the eastern section, Pagasa said.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east with slight to moderate seas.
