Light rain forecast for parts of Luzon, Visayas on Friday

MANILA, Philippines–Parts of Luzon and the Visayas will be rainy on Friday, as the tail-end of a cold front affects southern Luzon and the northeast monsoon (amihan) affects northern and central Luzon, the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Eastern Visayas, the Bicol Region, and the provinces of Marinduque, Romblon , Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains, Pagasa said.

The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough, Pagasa said.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to north with slight to moderate seas, it added.
