Pateros’ most wanted falls
MANILA, Philippines—Pateros’ most wanted man has finally been arrested more than six years after he and his companions knifed a man to death in the municipality.
Edward Sayson alias Macho was arrested in his house in Barangay Balenguero in Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan on Saturday in a joint operation conducted by Sta. Barbara and Pateros policemen.
Pateros police chief Senior Supt. Nelson Bondoc said in a report that their intelligence department learned of Sayson’s whereabouts when they coordinated with the Sta. Barbara police station.
The suspect was charged with murder after he and two other companions stabbed dead Emerson Asis on April 20, 2008 in Sta. Ana, Pateros.
Over the past years, Sayson had also been linked to several cases of robberies and killings in Pateros and Pangasinan, Bondoc said.
