MANILA, Philippines – Parts of Luzon will experience rains on Monday, the state weather bureau said.
The tail-end of a cold-front is affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon, while northeast monsoon is affecting Northern and Central Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
“Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur and Catanduanes will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms,” Pagasa said in its forecast.
Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos Region will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
The rest of the country, meanwhile, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
State-run Panahon TV said that a cloud cluster or a formation of clouds that could develop into a low pressure area was spotted east of Visayas.
Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough, Pagasa said.
Light to moderate winds coming from the northeast will prevail over Visayas and from the northeast to north over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas, it added.
