MANILA, Philippines—Rains are predicted in parts of southern Philippines while the northern part will have cool weather on Thursday, the weather bureau said.
In its Thursday early-morning bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said an intertropical convergence zone is affecting Mindanao while the northeast monsoon (amihan) is affecting northern Luzon.
Northern Luzon, Caraga and Davao region will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
It said Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos regions will be partly cloudy and will experience isolated light rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.
