MANILA, Philippines–Quezon City policemen nabbed a rookie cop from Rizal after the latter dabbled in the illegal drug business, a police official said Tuesday.
Police Senior Inspector Maricar Taqueban, Public Information Chief of the Quezon City Police District, said operatives of the Station Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (SAIDSOTG) of the Fairview Police Station (PS-5) arrested Police Officer 1 Brazil Mujawarin for the alleged delivery of methamphetamine hydrochloride in Fairview just before dawn Monday.
Police Senior Superintendent Joel Pagdilao, QCPD Director, said Mujawarin is assigned at the Rodriguez, Rizal Police Station, and his civilian aide was identified as Bonifacio Mundalo, 21-years-old, resides at Barangay 71 Yuan St., North Fairview, Quezon City.
“The arrest of the two suspects came following the reactivation of the anti-drugs units of the QCPD’s 12 police stations last week,” Taqueban said.
Police Superintendent Dennis De Leon, PS-5 Commander, said Mujawarin and Mundalo were arrested outside of a convenience store in Barangay North Fairview onboard a Suzuki Raider motorcycle with plate number 8959 PR.
“They were allegedly carrying two plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be metampethamine hydrochloride or shabu,” Taqueban said.
