MANILA, Philippines–Two bus terminals in Metro Manila were personally inspected by President Benigno Aquino III Friday to ensure the safe and secure travel of those going back to their respective provinces for the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day weekend.

Aquino first inspected the JAC Liner Terminal in Buendia with Transportation Secretary Joseph Abaya and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) chairman Winston Ginez.

Aquino observed the flow of passengers boarding the busses and the security measures put in place as people begin their trip to the provinces to visit their dead.

There was an estimated 36 trips carrying 1,560 passenger during Aquino’s inspection at JAC Liner’s terminal from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

He also went into the adjacent DLTB Bus terminal where an estimated 30 trips carrying 1,400 passengers were scheduled during the inspection.

Aquino boarded some of the buses to check on the passengers that were set to depart.
