MANILA, Philippines–Following the inspection of the passenger terminal at the Manila North Harbor, President Benigno Aquino III Friday went to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City to check the security measures put in place for the traditional All Saints’ Day and All Souls Day exodus of city dwellers to the provinces.

Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) general manager Jose Angel Honrado and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) director general William Hotchkiss III led Aquino through the departure area of Terminal 3 to inspect the check-in counters, x-ray machines, and help desks manned by police, medical, and airport personnel.

A total of 20 departure and arrival flights carrying more than 3,500 passengers took place during Aquino’s inspection from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Before Aquino inspected the NAIA, he went to the passenger facilities of the Manila North Harbor and boarded one vessel to check the safety and security measures that have been put in place.
