How to secure your homes during ‘Undas’

MANILA, Philippines- To ensure safety and security, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has issued safety tips for families leaving their homes to visit their departed loved ones in cemeteries this All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.

In an infographic posted by the PNP in its Twitter account, the public was advised to secure their homes before leaving.

The PNP reminds everyone to:

Staring Thursday, October 30, the PNP has gone on full alert and deployed additional 41, 602 policemen nationwide as part of its “Ligtas Undas” security plan.

The PNP also created “neighborhood watch groups” in Metro Manila composed of police and barangay (village) authorities to provide security to homes left unattended by vacationing residents.

Thousands of Filipinos are expected to flock to the province and to cemeteries to remember their departed love ones this “Undas.”
