MANILA, Philippines―Malacañang announced Thursday that it will be implementing a half-day work schedule in all government offices nationwide on Friday, October 31, 2014, in observance of the All Saints’ Day and All Souls Day.
Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa said that government work will be suspended starting 12 p.m on Friday.
Ochoa noted that government agencies which are responsible for the “delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital public services” will continue rendering their services on Friday.
The Palace earlier announced that October 31, 2014, will not be a special holiday.
