MANILA, Philippines—Mayor Patrick Meneses of Bulacan town in Bulacan province has declined to give media interviews on the alleged involvement of his mother’s vehicle in a road rage incident in Quezon City on Monday.
Meneses was out of his office and did not take calls made or replied to text messages sent to his mobile phone by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, on Tuesday.
Joey Rodrigo, tourism and information officer of the Bulacan town government, could not say where the mayor was on Tuesday.
He said they were not sure if Meneses was attending a meeting of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines’ chapter in Bulacan (LMP) or he was out of the province for another engagement.
The husband of a University of the Philippines professor has filed a complaint against Meneses’ security escort for whipping out a handgun to threaten their son during a traffic altercation along Congressional Ave., in Quezon City last Monday.
