MANILA, Philippines — A 29-year-old waitress has accused an official of the Southern Police District of raping her last Friday right inside his office in Bicutan.
The waitress filed her rape complaint against Superintendent Erwin Emelo of the SPD’s Special Operations Group at the National Bureau of Investigation’s Metro Manila regional office.
Chief Superintendent Henry Rañola, the newly-appointed SPD director, told INQUIRER.net over the phone that Emelo has been relieved since October 25, Saturday.
Rañola said Emelo is currently on floating status at the SPD’s personnel holding and administrative unit.
The SPD chief said Emelo just recently held office in Bicutan.
“He hasn’t lasted a week in his post,” Rañola said.
