ROSARIO, Batangas—Two hours after being refused entry, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and the media were finally allowed to enter the property here allegedly belonging to Vice President Jejomar Binay.
Trillanes and the media were first refused entry when they first arrived at the Sunchamp Agri-Tourism Park around 12 noon on Thursday.
The group went to another gate of the park but was also refused entry by the security assigned there.
The lawyer of Chinese-Filipino businessman Antonio Tiu, Charinna Quintanilla, also arrived at the park and told the media that only members of the Senate blue ribbon committee could get in.
Told about the lawyer’s instructions, Trillanes decided not to push through with the inspection without the members of the media.
But while travelling away from the park, the senator was told that Tiu wasat the park and allowed some media members to get inside it.
This prompted Trillanes and the media to go back.
Tiu has been tagged as Binay’s front for the property that has been dubbed “Hacienda Binay”.
