American found dead in Davao apartment

DAVAO CITIY – An American national was found dead by his househelp in an apartment here on Friday night, police said.

Edward Rowan, 66, was found inside his room at the Floravel Apartelle on Malvar Street but police said there was no indication of foul play and Rowan may have suffered cardiac arrest.

“There was no forced entry. All the things are intact and not in disarray. The (place) is clean but we will still wait for the result of the autopsy,” said Senior Inspector Ronald Lao, commander of the San Pedro Police Station.

Rowan’s body was taken to the Angel Funeral Homes here.
