2 Davao Sur cops fail drug tests

DIGOS CITY—At least two members of the Davao del Sur police force tested positive for the use of prohibited drugs during a random drug test, Senior Superintendent Michael John Dubria, provincial police chief, said on Thursday.

Dubria said the new round of random drug tests was conducted following allegations that some policemen were behind the proliferation of illegal drugs here.

He said 27 policemen had been tested and two tested positive. They have not been identified pending further investigation and the filing of administrative charges against them. Eldie Aguirre, Inquirer Mindanao
