MANILA, Philippines—The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) warned motorists of heavy traffic on several roads in Quezon City in the coming weekend as the Department of Public Works and Highways resumes its reblocking projects and other repair works starting Friday night until early Monday morning.
According to an advisory Thursday, the roadworks are scheduled on the southbound lanes of Araneta Avenue (from Maria Clara Street to Quezon Avenue-second lane), Fairview Avenue (from Fairlane Street to Camaro Street-second lane), Mindanao Avenue (second lane) and E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue/C-5 (between Mercury Avenue and Richmond Avenue-second lane).
The northbound lane of CP Garcia Avenue (from University Avenue to Maginhawa Street-second lane) will also undergo reblocking, as well as the westbound and eastbound lanes of Congressional Avenue and Congressional Avenue Extension.
MMDA Traffic Engineering Center head Neomie Recio said that these should be passable by 5 a.m. Monday.
