5 more Makati buildings face Senate scrutiny—Trillanes
MANILA, Philippines – At least five more buildings in Makati City will be scrutinized by the Senate aside from the controversial Makati City Hall 2 parking building, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said on Thursday.
These are the Makati Science High School Building, Makati City Hall 1, Ospital ng Makati and the Friendship Suites.
Trillanes, who initiated the parking building investigation by the Senate blue ribbon subcommittee, said he would only stop investigating Vice President Jejomar Binay when they run out of documents and witnesses against him.

Binay was the mayor of Makati when the construction of the 11-story parking building began in 2007. The five-phase project was only completed in 2013 under the present leadership of the Vice President’s son and namesake, incumbent city mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay.
“At least nga sabi ko mga eight hearings pa. And just to give you an idea, 5 buildings pa ang papaimebstigahan natin,” Trillanes said when asked when they would stop investigating the Vice President.
“So kung one hearing per building pa lang, e di lima na kaagad yun. E mag o-occular pa tayo nyan,” he said.
The subcommittee being headed by Senator Aqulino Pimentel III has yet to schedule its next hearing on the parking building issue but Trillanes said he was looking forward to confront the Chinese-Filipino businessman, Antonio Tiu who, he said, was used as front of the Vice President for a 350-hectare property in Batangas.
Binay and Tiu had denied the senator’s allegation but Trillanes said he would present evidence and possible witnesses to support his claim.
“Hinihintay na natin sya (Tiu) at sabik na sabik tayong ipakita sa kanya, ipamukha sa kanya yung mga ebidensya na sya ay dummy ni VP Binay,” said the senator.
Trillanes said he and Senate Majority Leader Alan Cayetano agreed that Cayetano would present the evidence to prove that Tiu was the Vice President’s dummy.
