Miriam College hit anew by bomb threat but doesn’t suspend classes this time

MANILA, Philippines – Miriam College was rocked by its second bomb threat this month Wednesday morning but did not suspend work and classes this time.

Miriam was last hit by a bomb scare last October 8.

According to Dahl Bennett, Communications and Media Coordinator of Miriam College, the bomb threat was received by school authorities at 9:30 a.m.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) bomb squad and the school’s internal security team inspected the school’s premises and later ruled the threat as a hoax.

In a statement, Miriam College said that it was beefing up its security measures for the safety of its students.

“The school continues to tighten its security measures to ensure the safety of the students and other members of the community,” the school said.

Last week’s bomb threat in the school also turned out to be a hoax.
