P3 million worth of jewelry stolen from Manila gift shop

MANILA, Philippines — An estimated P3 million worth of jewelry were stolen from a gift shop on Ongpin Street, Sta. Cruz, Manila, a report from Radyo Inquirer said Monday.

According to Patrick San Agustin, the owner of QT Gift Items shop, they discovered the robbery when they were about to open the shop at around 9:30 a.m.

San Agustin said that the still unidentified suspects destroyed the ceiling of the room next to the gift shop in order to break into his store.

The shop and its premises do not have closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras which could have been used to ascertain the identities of the suspects.
