MANILA, Philippines–A fire broke out at a portion of the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City on Friday morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.
Fire Officer 1 Federico Enero of the Pasay City BFP said the fire broke out at the entertainment plaza near the SM MOA Arena at 10:07 a.m.
Enero said the fire started at the generator of the Ferris wheel but its gondolas were spared from the fire.
He said the fire had been raised to first alarm before it was put out at 10:14 a.m.
He added that no one was injured in the said incident.
The BFP, he said, is still investigating the cause of the fire.
