MANILA, Philippines—Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Alan Purisima will be subjected to a lifestyle check led by the joint efforts of the police, interior government, Ombudsman and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), tax chief Kim Henares said on Tuesday.

Henares, who was at the House of Representatives for the Bangsamoro basic bill hearing, said the PNP, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the National Police Commission (Napolcom) will conduct the lifestyle check.

“Pareho lang ang documentation, ebidensya. Ang gagawin, i-o-organize ng DILG, PNP at Napolcom. Tutulong kami at ng ombudsman. Para isang imbestigasyon na lang at hindi na paulit ulit,” Henares said.

She assured that there will be no whitewashing of the lifestyle check under the watch of Interior Secretary Manuel Roxas II.
