2 Manila-Tuguegarao flights cancelled due to bad weather

MANILA, Philippines—Two Cebu Pacific flights were cancelled Tuesday as Typhoon “Vongfong” inches closer to the Philippines, the Department of Transportation and Communications said.

The cancelled flights were 5J-506 Tuguegarao-Manila, and 5J-507 Manila-Tuguegarao, it said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said “Vongfong” was last spotted at 10 a.m. at 1,500 kilometers southeast of extreme northern Luzon.

It was packing maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour and gusts of 185 kph while tracking a west northwest path at 24 kph.
