Snatched baby recovered in Manila

Kidnapped Baby Rescued

MANILA, Philippines – A 3-week old baby was recovered on Monday morning after the suspect, who snatched the baby from his mother, was apprehended by local enforcers near Lawton in Manila, Radyo Inquirer 990AM said.

The radio report said the suspect, 22-year old Melanie Inocencio of Caloocan ,was spotted near Lawton by members of the Police Community Precinct.

Inocencio is currently being interrogated and may be charged with abduction for taking the baby.

The child’s mother, Diana Lim Santiago, said she was sleeping beside the baby near their makeshift store along Baywalk in Roxas Boulevard earlier in the day when she woke up and found that her baby was gone.
