Feature writing contest for students

THE European Union (EU) in the Philippines is inviting Filipino campus writers and college students to join its feature writing contest.

The grand winner will get the chance to see his or her work published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer and receive 500 euro, a trophy and medal. The winner’s school will receive a certificate of merit.

The article must be focused on the theme “The European Union and its impact in the Philippines,” particularly on the EU and its political, economic, trade, and cultural relations with the Philippines and on any of the EU’s programs in the country.

Information sources and interviews must be cited in the article.

Contestants may visit website www.eeas.europa.eu/delegations/philippines for reference.

Entries written from June to October 2011 must be placed in an envelope and sent via registered mail to Press and Information, The European Union Delegation to the Philippines, 30th Floor, RCBC Plaza, Tower II, Makati City. All entries must be received on or before Oct. 14.
