Training for work scholars graduate

THE Global Power Skills Development Center Inc. headed by its president and founder, Glenn Soco, held graduation rites last Sept. 12 for the students of Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).

A total of 864 scholars finished the TWSP, which is a joint undertaking between the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) and Global Power Skills.

The program provides scholarship for short-term courses like housekeeping, bartending, food and beverage service and commercial cooking.

Global Power Skills will assist its students in landing jobs. More than 60 percent of their students are now employed in hotels and restaurants in the country and abroad.
