TEACHER LOSES P16T TO ROBBERS
A HIGH school teacher lost P16,000 cash to two motorcycle-riding robbers in barangay Pitogo, Consolacion town, northern Cebu, last Thursday night.
Evelyn Camilo, 27, a teacher at Yati National High School, withdrew her salary from the bank and was heading to a pharmacy past 6 p.m. when two men on a motorcycle blocked her path.
The backrider grabbed her shoulder bag containing the money and some valuables.
Camilo told police that she did not resist after seeing that the robber was holding a gun.

DEAD MAN FOUND IN Lapu ROAD
THE body of an unidentified man was found by the roadside in barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City, Thursday night.
Police said the dead man, believed to be in his 50s, had no external injuries.
The man wore a red shirt and black long pants.
A barangay roving patrol found him lying facedown on Maximo Patalinjug Avenue.

BIKE STOLEN IN MANDAUE
A MAN reported to the police that his motorcycle was stolen in barangay Ibabao-Estancia, Mandaue City, on Thursday afternoon.
Romulo Abaniel of barangay Nangka, Consolacion town, said he went to a pharmacy and parked his motorcycle with plate number 6162-GQ in front of the store.
While inside the store, Abaniel was told that a saleslady saw someone drive off his motorbike.

POLICE ANNUAL INSPECTION
WHILE Cebu City policemen were commended for performing well in mock crisis exercises, inspectors also raised some “lapses” that need to be addressed.
During the exit briefing, Director Ifor Magbanua, chairman of the Annual General Inspection (AGI), noted that Cebu City police lack equipment and that some police stations don’t have their own building.
In Cebu City, only the Waterfront, Mabolo and Pasil precincts have their own building while some are housed in barangay halls.
