MANILA, Philippines — Trips of Metro Rail Transit (MRT) line 3 were cut short anew on Thursday morning due to broken rails in Boni Avenue station.

Since 8 a.m., only trains from North Avenue to Shaw Boulevard station and vice versa have been operational. Renato San Jose, the newly-appointed MRT-3 officer-in-charge, said in a radio interview.

This also means that trips from Shaw Boulevard to Taft Avenue station ‎and vice versa are suspended.

San Jose said the broken rails on the southbound lane of Boni Avenue station caused the disruption.

He said the ‎public would be advised of the resumption of operations as soon as possible.
