MANILA, Philippines—Rains may fall over much of Mindanao as the southwest monsoon affects the southernmost of the Philippine’s three major islands, the weather bureau said on Monday.

In its weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the regions of Davao and Caraga would have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Pagasa added that Metro Manila and the rest of the country  would be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.
